    Uniformly bound complete set of Lloyd’s Natural History edited by English zoologist, ornithologist, and curator of the bird collection at the British Museum of Natural History, Richard Bowdley Sharpe (1847-1909). Thousands of pages and over 400 chromolithographs with additional black and white illustrations in the text covering all manner of creatures from around the world. The 16 volumes are comprised of A Hand-book to the Birds of Great Britain by R. Bowdler Sharpe (4 volumes, 128 colour plates), A Hand-book to the Game Birds by W. R. Ogilvie-Grant (2 volumes, 48 colour plates), A Hand-book to the Order Lepidoptera by W. F. Kirby (5 volumes, 158 plates (156 colour, 2 double page), A Hand-book to the Primates by Henry O. Forbes (2 volumes, 41 colour plates, 8 colour folding maps), A Hand-book to the Carnivora by Richard Lydekker (1 volume, 32 colour plates), A Hand-book to the British Mammalia by Richard Lydekker (1 volume, 32 colour plates), and A Hand-book to the Marsupialia and Monotremata by Richard Lydekker (1 volume, 38 colour plates).

    Spines discoloured. A few minor rubs to boards and spines. Some unopened bolts. Minor handling wear and foxing, mostly to edges, the occasional spot of minor to moderate foxing. Overall the interiors are mostly Very Good to Fine, excepting: Soil and rubbing affecting text on page 224 in Birds of Great Britain Volume 1. The 2 black and white plates in Order Lepidoptera Volume 1 loose. Double page plate 116 in Order Lepidoptera Volume 4 badly rubbed from being stuck together.. Good Condition.
