    Theatre programme for the Opera Prive de Paris production of Kitege, or The Legend of the Invisible City of Kitezh and the Maiden Fevroniya by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, from their premiere season in 1929. Complete with a history of the company, an analysis of the opera, illustrated plates of scenes and characters, photographic portraits of the actors, and illustrated advertisements for Parisian businesses. Cover art signed J. Bilibine, is by Ivan Bilibin which was used as the cover for each of the season’s programmes.

    Spine split from crown to top staple and at middle. Minor tanning and wear to wrappers. The centre leaf has come loose from the staples. Creasing to corner of one plate. Small pencil notation to last page. Fair Condition.
