Reproduction in high quality colour of 601 kink cards, also known as tart cards. The practice of advertising sexual services via cards placed in public telephone booths originated in the 1960s and became prevalent in the United Kingdom throughout the 1980s and onward. Outlawed in 2001 the practice continues today. In the early 2000s it is estimated over 10 million tart cards were being distributed annually. This collection is based on cards taken from booths during the 1980s and early 1990s.
