    15cm x 10.5cm. 48 pages, black and white illustrations. Pictorial saddle-stapled self-wrappers.

Single issue of physique magazine, Tomorrow’s Man. Published from 1952 to 1971, by the late 1950s it was the highest circulating physique magazine in the United States. Originally published by Irvin Johnson, a Chicago gym owner, the digest sized magazine was a vehicle by which he promoted his bodybuilding programs and supplements. Johnson sold the magazine in 1955, publishing moved to New York, and began promoting a broader range of fitness products. Decidedly more conservative than other physique magazines of the time, Tomorrow’s Man featured articles on health and fitness, though fit young men were in no short supply, with each issue featuring a plethora of photographs and advertisements for many of the studios of the day: Bob Mizer’s AMG, Bruce of Los Angeles, Lon of New York, et al.

Minor foxing to front panel. Minor tanning. Very Good Condition.
