    34cm x 21.5cm. 11 pages, 2 folding maps. Side-stapled self-wrappers.

The 1886 report to the Queensland Parliament on the oyster fisheries of Moreton Bay, stretching from Caloundra in the north to Southport in south. Largely rehashing the 1884 report and extending it with a report on the fish supply of Queensland. The 1886 report came 12 years after the introduction of licenses for the bank and dredge collection and cultivation of oysters by the Oyster Act of 1874 and the system was refined with the Oyster Act of 1886. The bay was divided into numerous dredge sections and portions of bank, and the report discusses activities in the various leases and opinions gleaned from interviews with locals and experienced oystermen. Includes 2 fold out maps illustrating allotments in the central, northern and southern parts of the bay.

Minor foxing and wear. Very Good Condition.
