Brown & Co.’s Short Street premises and surrounding buildings, with the partially destroyed Victoria Street bridge in the background, and folks in boats and a young boy and a dog in the water on Montague Road, South Brisbane, during the flood of 1893. The photo of D. L. Brown & Co. is signed P. C. Poulsen. The Montague Rd. photo is unsigned. Poul Christensen Poulsen was Brisbane’s leading photographer in the late 19th century.
