An illustrated catalogue of sinks, basins, equipment and instrument cleaners, toilets, fittings, and other sanitary equipment for hospitals and facilities requiring a high level of hygiene. The Cistern Manufacturing Co. was a successful Brisbane manufacturing company specialising in cisterns and provided fittings to private homes and business around the country as well as to Brisbane Town Hall, Federal Parliament House in Canberra, Maryborough City Council, and the Commonwealth Bank in Sydney. The “Silentia” silent cistern was likely developed from the patents of Eisler and Studdert, South Brisbane, which The Cistern Manufacturing Co. acquired in the mid 1920s. Unrecorded in Trove or OCLC, though one holding of a different Cistern Manufacturing Co. catalogue focused on bathroom fittings is held by the State Library of Queensland.
