Engraved frontispiece portraits of Princess Frederique and Prince Frederic of Prussia, engraved title page. 12 other engravings, some by Danial Berger after works by the Polish/German genre painter and engraver Daniel Chodowiecki who worked for the publisher from 1770 until his death in 1801. Several of the blank pages have the original owner’s notes in German and French. This Berlin Almanac, which includes a comprehensive list of the most important members of all the major noble houses of Europe, appeared under various titles from 1769 to 1813. A charming example of an 18th century almanac in an unusual binding.
