Manufactured by The Newbold Silica Firebrick Co. Limited at their works, Marrangaroo, near Lithgow, N.S.W., Australia. Numerous illustrations of brick shapes, photographs of the factory, and facsimiles of testimonial letters. Established in 1912 by Arthur Roger Newbold, The Newbold Silica Firebrick Co. operated from Marrangaroo until 1918 when operations were moved to Newcastle, placing the production of this catalogue in early 1918, before the move, though with later distribution as it bears a stamp with an updated head office address. In 1946 the firm was renamed Newbold General Refractories Ltd. and was acquired by BHP in 1974. Rare, unrecorded in Trove.
