Recovered by Captain Michael Hatcher from a European merchant ship wrecked in the South China Seas. At the time was a record breaking auction of decorative arts with final sales reaching approximately ten million pounds. This copy with the bookplate of James Fairfax and a four page pamphlet for two additional lots of a pair of Dutch Bronze Cannons laid in.
