1930s miniature set of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare in 40 volumes housed on a wooden shelf. Includes 38 plays, each in its own volume, a volume of poetry, and a single index, glossary, and biographical volume. Undated, though advertised as the Vest-Pocket Shakespeare in UK newspapers in the early-mid 1930s.

Lettering and decoration on spines is worn. Minor staining to the top edge of some volumes. Minor cracking in some volumes, as is common, some tender but none are loose. Printing and binding error to Love’s Labour’s Lost volume with 4 leaves comprising preliminary and early pages loose and out of order, and with the title page bound in facing page 20, still all pages are present and the text complete. Good Condition.
