The first 9 issues of the 1930 Vienna erotic pulp magazine Der Satan. Listed as being the second year of publication, no record of a 1929 issue has been traced. This run, bound in one volume, was published fortnightly in the first half of 1930. It is known to have continued throughout 1930 up to Nr. 20 published in the 49th week of that year, however the publishing schedule became irregular for the final numbers. It is documented that Nr. 16 which ran at a circulation of 8,000 was seized by the authorities for obscenity. Unrecorded in OCLC, although a single holding of Jg. 2, Nr. 1-19 traced at the Austrian National Library, and this cataloguer has seen a single issue of Jg. 2, Nr. 20.

Minor shelf wear and tanning. Light staining to edges of final plate in Nr. 9, rest of interior clean. Some of the pagination cropped. Bound with the original wrappers of each number except for the lower wrapper of Nr. 9. Very Good Condition.
