    Inscribed by Mary Williamson Averell (Harriman), wife of Edward Harriman, to Elmer Ellsworth Brown, Chancellor of New York University, 1930. Mrs. E. H. Harriman’s calling card pasted to the front endpaper with the note ‘2 sets of the Biography of Mr E. H. Harriman: one for the Chancellor and one for the University. This is the Chancellor’s copy with a personal inscription from Mrs. Harriman. Further is written a note from the Executor of the E. E. Brown estate, Harold Oliver Voorhis, first secretary of NYU, gifting the volumes to the Gramercy Park Hotel as a token of appreciation for their services to the Chancellor.

    Set is in Good condition, by which we mean it has moderate to heavy marks of age and is well worn from handling, but is still intact and good for reading. Good Condition.
