The Gay Solidarity Group (GSG) organised the first Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras in 1978, which notoriously ended with brutality and arrests by the NSW police. The GSG started this newsletter to draw attention to the injustice of a system which denies its citizens the right to protest and celebrate. This November/December issue was the only newsletter produced in 1981, following numerous actions against police harassment and protests calling for homosexuality to be included in the Anti-Discrimination Laws.
