    Julian Edmund Woods (1832-1889), was an English Catholic priest, geologist, and cofounder of St Joseph of the Sacred Heart with Mary Mackillop. In this volume he describes the South East in detail, covering the tertiary limestones, sand dunes, Naracoorte Caves and the Mount Gambier volcanoes.
