Greco was an early Italian chess player and writer, famous for recording some of the earliest chess games that are known in their entirety; this was his most important legacy. His manuscripts were usually written up for his private patrons. This booklet issued by the Publication Fund of the Good Companion Chess Problem Club International for Christmas, 1919, on the 300th Anniversary of the Writing of the First Manuscript, 1619-1919 with Twenty-One illustrations from the Original, Described and Arranged by John G. White.
