    An unnumbered edition of 4,000 copies. German photographer Herbert List (1903-1975) worked for Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and Life. A classically trained artist, his black and white photographic works are influenced by both surrealism and classicism. Here List’s posings of young men in Mediterranean settings are influenced by classical and Renaissance art. Introduction by Stephen Spender.
