Edward Carpenter (1844-1929) was a poet, philosopher, and pioneering advocate for gay rights whose perspectives continued to have enduring importance throughout the twentieth century. This 1980 edition consists of the text of Carpenter’s lecture, Homogenic Love, which was first published in 1894.
