    Mario Mieli (1952-1983) was a prominent and provocative radical in the Italian gay liberation movement. He travelled to London as a student in 1971 and joined the Gay Liberation Front. He returned to Italy a year later and co-founded FUOR! (United Italian Homosexual Revolutionary Front). This was his most well known work and a landmark of radical queer theory. Originally published in 1977 as Elementi di critica omosessual, this is the first edition in the English language.
