    A selective catalogue of architectural ironwork by the most important manufacturer of ornamental ironwork in Scotland. Large format illustrated photographs demonstrating fine examples of building and shop fronts, hospitals, bridge parapets, stairs and stair balustrades, bandstands and shelters, tramway car station shelters, conservatories and winter gardens, station ironwork, cupolas, rooflights, arcades, and interior ironworks, canopies and porches, tropical verandahs, exterior ironwork, fountains, gates and railings, clock towers, open-air tea-rooms, rain-water heads and pipes, figures, sanitary conveniences, &c. This catalogue of works mostly showing finished product install in the UK, but also numerous examples in South Africa and India, as well as Greece, Canada, and elsewhere. The firm had a global reach including Australia, and was responsible for the Elder Park Rotunda in Adelaide and the Wilkinson Memorial Drinking Fountain in Williamstown, Victoria, being the earliest known memorial drinking fountain in Melbourne (these are not illustrated in this volume).
