Original Zigarettenbild (cigarette picture or card) from the Berlin 1936 Summer Olympics produced by Cigaretten-Bilderdienst. This card picturing the podium winners of the women’s foil fencing. The winners were Ilona Elek (Hungary, Gold), Helene Mayer (German, Silver), and Ellen Preis (Australia, Bronze). Mayer was the only Jewish person on the German team and can be seen giving the Nazi salute on the podium, which she later said might have protected her family.

Very minor wear to corners. Near Fine Condition.
