A record of political, industrial, and social development from the landing of the first explorers to the close of 1909. Illustrated with photographic views, portraits and plans collected from various sources.

Leather at crown of upper joint chipped. Moderate marks and wear to boards with the early name of H. N. Maxwell in ink to upper board. Hinges becoming tender but still intact. Tanning to endpapers with minor insect damage to rear endpaper. Interior clean and bright for the most with only the occasional minor soil, a small chip at the gutter of page 128/9, a small closed tear at the head of the gutter from page 151-176, and a minor pencil underline to page 279. Good Condition.
