The Woman and the Puppet. A Frenchman falls hopelessly under the spell of a beguiling Andalusian woman at the carnival in Seville, drawing him into a cruel dance of seduction, humiliation, and obsession. First published in 1898, this the first edition with erotic illustrations by Becat. This copy number 110 of 400 numbered copies on Arches vellum (of a total edition of 540), though with the plates in a second state with remarques normally reserved for the 75 copies numbered 26 to 100.
Book is in Near Fine Condition, some leaves with very minor crease to crown fore-edge corner. Chemise spine edges rubbed and splitting but still holding. Slipcase tanned with some splitting and tape repairs.. Very Good Condition.
