Two unattributed French works, both undated (circa 1902) published by Edition Photographique bound as one volume. Les Femmes Galantes, being historical scenes presenting a history of French love reconstructed with a host of models, some nude, many playful, in a variety of toned gravures produced from photographs, some in full colour, others embellished with gold. An early presentation of light smut dressed up with sociological pretense presented curiously with its range of print tones and photocollage assemblages. Bound together with Les Danses Voluptueuses being The Mirror of Love: Voluptuous Dances, illustrated stories of sensual dance in Egypt, India, Greece, Japan, Span, and Italy, also presented with lots of light nudity.
