A major work of Social Darwinism published in the late 19th century advocating amorality, consequentialism, egoism, and psychological hedonism. Sometimes attributed to New Zealand and later Australian labour movement figure Arthur Desmond, though this is disputed in Conder’s introduction to this edition.
