Published in the wake of the 1925 International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts in Paris and marking the artform’s popular surge into England. Contained within this large format volume which is composed almost entirely of illustrations, are some of the highest expressions of French form at that time. The first in what became a two volume series, with the second volume published some 5 years later. Introduction by Leon Deshairs.
