First edition of the rare and early treatise on the pharmacological and therapeutic aspects of opium. The large title vignette one of the earliest illustrations of scoring and bleeding the poppy. Georg Wolfgang Wedel (1645-1721) was a German professor of surgery, botany, theoretical and practical medicine, and chemistry.

Minor worming to the first 7 leaves, then a single very minor hole to the next 4. Else very minor general wear. Very Good Condition.
