    Papers from a Conference at the University of Reading 25-26 March 1982. Stirling engines, developed in 1816 by Scotsman Robert Stirling to rival the steam engine, were mostly used for low-power domestic applications. It is a closed cycle system, heating a gas to produce mechanical power.

    Spine creased. Wrappers shelf worn with bumps and rubs to corners and edges. Small stain to tail edge of pages from page 82 on. Good Condition.
