    The Evening News was the first evening newspaper published in Sydney, and continued until 1931. The book gives a history of the newspaper and the stories it had covered, details and illustrations of the new 1925 building fronting Elizabeth and Castlereagh Streets, and the plant consisting of sixteen presses and twenty – two linotype machines. The 26 plates include the first half-tone block to be used in an Australian newspaper in 1909.

    Some rubbing to board edges. 2cm piece missing from spine crown. Very minor bumps to corners. Minor scattered foxing, especially to early pages. Previous owner’s name. Fair Condition.
