Scarcely available children’s story by Australian artist Christian Marjory Emily Carlyle Yandell Waller (1894-1954) This is one of 50 special copies with 2 plates laid in, this copy also with a further plate in red with a signed autograph note by the publisher Richard Griffin stating that it is one of 50 copies bound by Peter Marsh at the Dove Bindery with the extra plates. The total edition comprising 1,000 (15 in leather, 185 in scarlet buckram, and 800 in tan cloth). Printed by photolithography from the single copy produced by The Golden Arrow Press, Melbourne, 1932. This is number B28 and is signed by Waller’s niece, Australian potter Klytie Pate. WHITE 9435.
