18 colour plates by Carlos Riefel, with introductory text and essays as well as details on each plate, edited by Beryl Leslie Urquhart. This being the first volume, with a second volume on rhododendrons published by Urquhart in 1962.

Staining and discolouration to cloth at top edge of upper board, minor discolouration to other edges. Very minor insect damage to front endpaper. Very minor foxing and minor tanning. Chips and tears to jacket edges, some tape repair. Good Condition.
