Arthur lost the case, his wife divorced him for adultery, and he later served jail time for fraud and died in an asylum. Illustrated with photographic facsimiles of the documents in the case and many others that were not produced in court.

    Considerable rubbing and wear to boards with an advertising sticker to upper board and first page of introduction. Minor insect damage to spine near tail. Front hinge cracked but still holding by the cords. Previous owner’s signature in pencil. Fair Condition.
