An early non-fiction work by successful American author Dean Koontz originally submitted to Aware Press as a completed manuscript titled Going Underground. The publisher proceeded to have the work rewritten and published under this new title without Koontz’s knowledge. The changes were so substantial Koontz disavowed any claim of authorship. Likewise Gerda, Dean’s wife, made no contribution to the text despite being credited. Nonetheless an entertaining account of underground subcultures with chapters including Life in The Commune, Interview With A Groupie, Getting Busted, Body Painting and Sex Films, and more. Illustrations by Doug Lovenstein.

Minor rubbing to wrappers. Light creasing to spine and tail fore-edge corner of front cover. Interior clean and bright. Good Condition.
