A summarized English version of an earlier Korean publication that details the significance of Jikji [The Monk Baegun’s Anthology of the Great Priests’ Teachings on Identification of the Buddha’s Spirit by the Practice of Seon] within the study of Korean movable metal types. The Jikji is the world’s oldest known example of a book printed using movable metal type, predating Gutenberg by approximately two centuries. Includes a photo reproduction of the Jikji.
