French sampling of works by English-American photographer, actor, stage designer, director, and writer Roy Dean (1925-2002). Born Leslie Joseph, son of English actress Hermione Gingold, during the early 1970s Dean turned increasingly to photography with a focus on the nude physique of LA’s male bodybuilders. During the 1980s Dean’s work brought the male nude to the eyes of the masses. This French collection features previously unpublished photos of models from Dean’s early 1970s oeuvre including John Corvello, Tony Pearson, Greg Vautelbugh, William Gullette, Bill Nuckles, Greg Kolb, Greg Vautelbugh, Dell Brooks, Tony Sappington, Kent Kuehn, and others.
