The first illustrated book for children with lesbian parents. In the wake of the break-up of a lesbian relationship, a mother and daughter deal with the loss. Credited with being the first picture book to depict LGBTQ characters (predating Jenny Lives with Eric and Martin by 2 years and Heather Has Two Mommies by 10 years), and to date remains one of only two children’s picture books featuring LGBTQ characters depicting divorce or separation.
