Augustus Montague Summers (1880-1948) was an English clergyman who wrote numerous books on the occult. He was responsible for the first English translation of the 15th century witch hunters manual, Malleus Maleficarum. Witchcraft and Black Magic is Summers’ second-last book before his death. It begins with a definition of witchcraft before detailing numerous aspects of the craft including ceremonial and devotional practices, historical and biographical notes, familiars, and more. With 24 illustrations. Rebound in black half leather with gold lettering and tooling to spine, new endpapers.
