Heralded as one of Japan’s most significant and versatile creative artists, Hideo Takeda’s work is internationally acclaimed. Here he depict scenes from the Genpei War (1180-1185), the Japanese civil war between the Taira (Heike) and Minamoto clans that resulted in the Minamoto establishing the Kamakura shogunate (1192-1333).

Moderate foxing, soiling to wrappers. Some foxing to first pages. Crown fore-edge corner slightly bumped and some page corners creased. Good Condition.
