Manchoukuo was a part of Manchuria which had been taken over by Japan in 1932 and had a puppet government until 1945. This magazine style propaganda publication has a striking colour illustrated cover followed by black and white photographs of the architecture, including new buildings, arts and everyday lives of the people of the country, and includes a map of the railways and air routes.
Wrappers tanned. Minor handling wear. Pencil scribble ghost to stamps page and a 3.5cm closed tear to fore-edge of same leaf, and with associated minor creasing. Very Good Condition.
