Program for a Rally for China held in Los Angeles during the Second Sino-Japanese War sponsored by the Motion Picture Artists’ Committee and China Aid Council held at the Shrine Auditorium December 12, 1938. Lists performances by the Mei Wah Girls’ Drums Corps, Burns and Allen, Clarence Muse, Lotte Goslar, Harpo Marx, and others. Features a poem, Gift to the Mikado, by Helen Fitzgerald, illustration by Stuyvesant Van Veen, several other cartoons, two of which deriding the Japanese, and advertisements for local businesses. Laid in at the rare is a promotional sheet for KG FK Radio Station. Unrecorded in OCLC.
Creasing and rubbing to top edge of wrappers upper panel. 2.5cm split to spine crown. Minor tanning, moderate to final leaf and lower wrappers verso from laid in promotional sheet. Very Good Condition.
