[On the Trial Nights of German Peasant Girls], a study of the premarital courtship custom of a young man climbing through the window of a young peasant woman’s bedroom at night, by eighteenth-century German jurist and cultural historian Friedrich Christoph Jonathan Fischer (1750-1797). First published in 1780 and here reprinted by Stuttgart curiosa and folklore bookseller/publisher J. Scheible together with 13 pages of advertisements for other titles by the firm.
