(NPG). Includes Venus Anadyomene, Veil-Dance, A Question after R. Boeltzig, Prayer, Park-Nymph, Awakening, Adoration after Stephen Sinding, and Love Play. Desmond was a Berlin performer and dancer who co-founded “Evenings of Beauty”, staging nude and body-painted living statues. The performances were controversial though she always defended her performances as high art.
