First printing of the third and final in American landscape architect Rose Standish Nichols’ (1872-1960) studies on the gardens of Europe, preceded by English Pleasure Gardens (1902) and Spanish and Portuguese Gardens (1924). Italian Pleasure Gardens was the first to be illustrated with photographs taken by Nichols on her travels, there being near 200 illustrations throughout.
Minor soiling and wear to cloth. Occasional minor pencil annotation. A couple of page corner creases. A few unopened bolts. Very Good Condition.
