First Edition.

21cm x 14.5cm. 24 pages. Illustrated side-stapled self-wrappers.

Single issue of the newsletter of the Victoria branch of the Australian crossdressing organisation The Seahorse Society. Founded in 1971, “the club identified as being for heterosexual transvestites, intentionally distinguishing themselves from homosexuals, fetishists and transsexuals. This was part of an effort to portray transvestism as ‘normal’ and club membership as respectable.” (Noah Riseman: Transgender Australia: A History Since 1910) From the late 1990s, Seahorse began evolving to adopt broader transgender language and advocacy, and is now regarded as Australia’s earliest known trans organisation.
