A history of the Pinkham Glove Company of Essex, England, founded by William Pinkham in the late nineteenth century and grown into an international business exporting gloves worldwide before its closure in 1966. Illustrated throughout with photographs of the factory, machinery, and staff at work, with eight colour plates of the company’s cotton simplex and rayon gloves. A single copy recorded in OCLC, at the Smithsonian Libraries and Archives. This copy with a lengthy presentation inscription from Leslie Pinkham to John Bayliss, a production manager at the Australian lingerie manufacturer Berlei, recalling their meeting and a day trip to Wollongong in July 1948.
